• Develop and execute comprehensive assessment and treatment plans tailored to individual client needs.
• Utilize evidence-based practices and screening tools to assess client mental health status and assist in developing crisis intervention plans.
• Conduct thorough documentation of client interactions within regulatory standards, ensuring compliance and quality assurance.
• Collaborate with team members to create and implement behavior support plans that effectively address the unique challenges faced by our geriatric population.
• Engage in consultation processes to develop crisis management strategies and behavioral guidelines for clients in need.
• Serve as a vital link between clients, state agencies, and community resources, facilitating access to critical support services.
• Participate actively in ongoing professional development, attend relevant conferences, and engage in statewide task forces and committees pertaining to geriatric mental health.
• Promote the organization’s mission, values, and principles in all interactions, advocating for clients and their families on various platforms.
• Perform additional responsibilities as designated by the Clinic Director to uphold our commitment to excellence in mental health service delivery.

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credential in the state of New York.
• Minimum of four years of substantial experience in providing geriatric counseling and mental health support services.

• Specialized training or certifications in geriatric mental health or addiction counseling.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team setting, with a focus on delivering exceptional client care.
• Familiarity with using technology in providing remote counseling and therapy services.
