About the Opportunity

Our client is a well-capitalized, global technology organization operating at the forefront of artificial intelligence, automation, and advanced infrastructure development.

As part of a major investment in next-generation AI capabilities, the company is building a portfolio of large-scale, mission-critical data center projects across Texas. These initiatives are designed to support high-performance computing, advanced analytics, and real-world AI applications.

The organization offers a fast-paced, high-performance environment that values operational excellence, disciplined execution, and the ability to scale complex infrastructure in support of long-term growth.

Due to the nature of this project, additional details will be shared with qualified candidates during the interview process

Position Overview

The Project Controls Manager / Project Manager serves as the architect of project execution—designing and managing the systems that govern schedule, cost, and change across a large-scale, multi-site construction program.

This role establishes the single source of truth for project performance, ensuring leadership has accurate, timely data to drive decisions. You’ll work cross-functionally with project leadership, field teams, and subcontractors to drive alignment, accountability, and execution consistency.

This is a highly visible role in a fast-paced, complex build environment where structure, accuracy, and forward-looking insight are critical.

Key Responsibilities

Schedule Management & Planning

  • Develop and manage master project schedules across multiple sites
  • Perform critical path analysis and identify schedule risks and mitigation strategies
  • Align field execution with milestones and overall program timelines

Cost Control & Financial Oversight

  • Oversee budgeting, cost tracking, and forecasting across projects
  • Implement and manage earned value management (EVM) processes
  • Monitor cost performance and provide actionable insights

Change Management & Governance

  • Establish and manage project-wide change control processes
  • Ensure all changes are documented, evaluated, and approved
  • Maintain alignment across schedule, cost, and scope

Reporting & Data Analytics

  • Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and performance metrics
  • Lead weekly and monthly reporting cadences
  • Provide forward-looking insights on risks and performance trends

Process Development & Standardization

  • Design scalable project controls systems and processes
  • Drive consistency and accountability across stakeholders
  • Ensure data integrity across tools and reporting systems

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in project controls, project management, or cost/schedule management
  • Strong experience supporting large-scale construction or infrastructure projects
  • Expert proficiency in Primavera P6
  • Experience with cost control systems, scheduling methodologies, and reporting tools

Preferred

  • Experience with Advanced Work Packaging (AWP)
  • Exposure to 4D/5D BIM (schedule + cost integration)
  • Experience in data analytics for predictive risk analysis
  • Background in data center or mission-critical construction

Location & Structure
  • Remote, with preference for Dallas–Fort Worth or Houston, TX
  • Travel as needed to project sites
  • Contract role with potential for long-term conversion

Why This Opportunity
    • Central role in driving execution across a large-scale AI infrastructure program
    • High visibility with project and executive leadership
    • Opportunity to build and scale project controls systems from the ground up
    • Work across multiple complex, high-impact construction projects
