Job description
Project Engineer Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Support the coordination of project activities, including resource allocation and logistics.
- Participate in site visits to monitor project progress and ensure compliance with specifications.
- Help review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and other technical documents.
- Collaborate with the project team to identify and resolve issues as they arise.
- Prepare reports and documentation related to project status, risks, and outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Ensure that all work complies with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Ability to travel to jobsites up to 80-100% of the time based on project type and requirement
- Other job-related duties necessary to carry out the responsibilities of this position
Project Engineer Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1-3 years of experience in heavy civil construction required; marine construction experience preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, on computers and other electronic devices
- Strong interpersonal skills; must be a self-starter, highly organized, and creative
- Superior time management and organizational capabilities, including the ability to accurately benchmark project length, deliver on deadlines
