About the role:

As a Principal Project Cost Controller, you will be responsible for all project cost controls activities for the LEU+ Project. You will manage cost monitoring within defined standards.

You will work with the project team on the compilation, assessment and documentation of project costs and associated cost monitoring and reporting required at multiple stages of the projects.

You will report to the Program Manager and be located at Columbia, SC. You will support this position remotely.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cost monitoring on construction major projects.
  • Initiate and plan all cost controls aspects of a project, which include, but do not limit project baselines and risk registers.
  • Apply tools and techniques to plan work such that you reduce inefficiencies and optimize overall project performance.
  • Apply cost or risk analytics to confirm validity of plan.
  • Responsible for the cost monitoring, tracking and cost control work for all ICS projects.
  • Support forecast estimation and verify the accuracy of the actual to date cost, including material, labor, manufactured costs, suppliers' invoices, timesheets, and travel expenses.
  • Align with the scheduler to ensure costs and schedule are aligned, providing time-phased cost forecasts.
  • Analyze internal costs to identify trends in cost forecasts.
  • Support the project team by attending meetings and working collaboratively with others.
  • Be a project cost controls contact for internal and external customers, supporting the successful project execution through completion.
  • Integrate project's goals and actions through participation with other project groups in matters of common concern.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree - Project Management, Engineering, Business, Construction Management or related technical discipline.
  • 5 years of project cost controls experience in the nuclear industry or in EPC projects
  • Some experience in other project controls areas such as scheduling, risk management, change control would be beneficial
  • Knowledge of project reporting, cost control and engineering controls, previous experience working with different business systems and tools (i.e. SAP, MSP and Excel).
