Overview

Ardurra is seeking an experienced Aviation Project Engineer to join our dynamic Aviation Group. This role offers the opportunity to work on impactful aviation projects while enjoying flexibility. A current Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer in Training (EIT) is required. This excitingย Fully-Remoteย opportunity for candidates residing inย Montana or Idaho.

Required Qualificationsย 

  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree in civil engineeringย 
  • 5+ years minimum experience in the airport consulting/engineering fieldย 
  • Professional Engineer License strongly preferred, but not required
  • Strong knowledge of FAA advisory circulars related to airport design and the FAA grant processย 
  • Strong communication skills are a mustย 
  • Computer skills a must including extensive experience with AutoCAD Civil 3Dย 
  • Self-motivated, team-oriented individual with the ability to work on challenging projects in a team environmentย 
  • Willingness to travel

Key Responsibilitiesย 

  • Act as design lead for airfield civil construction projects while working with one or more EITโ€™s and other project team membersย ย 
  • Oversee and mentor one of more EITs in the areas of grading design, pavement design, marking design, airport operational construction safety and phasing plans, and other components of airport designย 
  • Coordinate with owners, internal staff, and subconsultants throughout the project life cycleย ย 
  • Present design concepts, alternatives, and solutions during client review meetingsย 
  • Act as design lead during the bidding processย 
  • Participate in construction inspection and oversight, either as lead inspector or as technical supportย ย 

Physical Requirementsย 

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computerย 
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 poundsย 
  • ย Must possess a valid driverโ€™s license and be able to safely operate a vehicleย
