The Clinical Administrative Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring the completion of established processes and protocols. This position collaborates effectively with all members of the care team to uphold the organization's mission and vision, while consistently delivering exceptional customer service. The coordinator also supports clinical teams in achieving both service and care delivery goals.

This is for a full-time (40 hours/week) telecommute position in Tampa, Florida.  The schedule is Monday through Friday an 8-hour shift between the hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm EST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

We offer up to 4 weeks of training Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-5:00pm EST.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert for other team members 
  • Work with the clinical team to manage requests for services 
  • Manage the intake of members or the admission/discharge information post notification 
  • Manage the referral process, processing incoming and outgoing referrals and authorizations, including intake, notification and census roles 
  • Resolve inquiries from members and/or providers 
  • Completing special projects 
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent work experience  
  • Must be 18 years of age OR older  
  • 2 years of customer service experience analyzing and solving customer problems 
  • Ability to travel up to 10% locally to attend team Quarterly meetings
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Word (create documents, edit), Microsoft Excel (create, edit, save documents), Microsoft Outlook (email and calendar management), and the ability to use multiple web applications
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) Telecommute position in Tampa, Florida. The schedule is Monday through Friday and an 8-hour shift between the hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm EST.  It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 years of experience working with Medicare and/or Medicaid Services 
  • 2 years of experience working in the health care industry 
  • 2 years of experience working with medical terminology 
  • Work at home experience 
  • Experience working in metrics driven environment  
  • Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT codes

Telecommuting Requirements:

  • Reside within 20 miles to Tampa, Florida
  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable) 
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
