Responsibilities
Octave is seeking a Senior Implementation Consultant to join our team. The Senior Implementation Consultant is responsible for the setup, installation, configuration, and customization of technical solutions, applications, and process designs to support clients' business objectives. This role requires an individual who can work independently, lead projects, mentor team members, and provide expert-level consulting in the implementation of enterprise software solutions. This is a full-time position that may involve onsite travel to customer sites and remote work.
• Lead and manage software implementation projects, ensuring successful delivery and client satisfaction.
• Work directly with clients to manage installation, configuration, and deployment of technical solutions, specifically Smart Materials software.
• Manage initial access, map and transfer data, create process documentation (functional requirements, design specifications, lessons learned), and train or coordinate training for client users.
• Analyze customer requirements and illustrate how company solutions provide value and support to their organization.
• Design solutions by constructing workflow charts and diagrams, studying client system capabilities, and writing specifications.
• Improve solutions by analyzing current practices, designing modifications, and implementing best practices.
• Maintain system protocols by documenting procedures, developing user documentation, and providing help desk support.
• Apply analytical and technical thinking to resolve routine client issues and challenges, offering alternative solutions and recommendations.
• Lead the preparation of testing scripts and materials; support and perform unit, system, and integrated testing.
• Work with training teams to develop application-specific training materials and conduct training sessions for clients.
• Provide technical consultation and knowledge transfer to sales staff, trainers, and product support teams.
• Identify and document technical issues for escalation to the product and system integration teams for resolution.
• Provide feedback based on client experiences to the product and professional services teams for process and product improvements.
• May assist with pre-sales activities, including RFIs/RFPs, product demonstrations, and technical consultation.
• Identify additional sales opportunities and relay them to sales and presales teams.

Education / Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical), Information Technology, or a related field OR equivalent relevant experience.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in a consulting role within the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) industry.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in COTS (Commercial Off-The-Shelf) / packaged software implementation.
• Experience in materials management and specifications.
• Strong understanding of software methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Iterative and Incremental).
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills (both written and verbal).
• Ability to travel up to 50%, including international travel.
• Fluent in English.
Preferred:
• Experience with Government, Oil & Gas, Construction, and Engineering industries.
• Experience with Earned Value and Project Controls.
• Knowledge of Smart Materials, Smart Construction, Jovix, and EcoSys EPC software.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with API development.
• Familiarity with Oracle Apex and Oracle Database Administration.
• Experience with enterprise software tools such as:
o EcoSys
o Oracle Primavera
o Microsoft Project
o SAP
o Oracle EBS
o ERP software
o Microsoft Office (Teams, SharePoint)
• Spanish as a second language.
