Responsibilities

Data Masking – NonProduction Environments (Delphix)

  • Integrate masking and data provisioning into CI/CD pipelines, enabling secure-by-design development workflows.
  • Conduct risk assessments of nonproduction environments to identify residual data exposure and drive remediation.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize masking performance, data consistency, and operational reliability.

Stakeholder Engagement, Education & Enablement

  • Work closely with application owners, developers, DBAs, infrastructure teams, and testers to understand business workflows and data usage patterns.
  • Clearly explain why data must be masked or encrypted, how the controls reduce risk, and how they support regulatory and enterprise compliance.
  • Educate teams on how TLS and data masking technologies work, including limitations, tradeoffs, and best practices.
  • Influence adoption through collaboration rather than enforcement—balancing security, usability, and performance.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor during onboarding of new applications, platforms, and integrations.

Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement

  • Develop, maintain, and improve documentation, runbooks, standards, and technical guidance.
  • Support audits and regulatory inquiries with clear evidence of implementation and control effectiveness.
  • Automate monitoring, testing, and validation of encryption and masking controls where possible.
  • Stay current on emerging data protection threats, technologies, and industry best practices, recommending enhancements as needed.
  • Provide mentoring and technical guidance to junior engineers and operational teams.
