Senior Engineer

As a Senior Engineer on the Transaction Services team, you will meaningfully contribute to the software that churches rely on every day by supporting existing back end features and helping develop new ones.


Primary Responsibilities of the Role
  • Craft code in a way that meets our Tithe.ly coding standards and makes our products and services flexible, stable, and maintainable.

  • Take ownership of code to ensure quality and efficiency across the team and organization.

  • Build key backend features, integrating with internal and external APIs, end-to-end testing, code reviews and system planning.

  • Attack tech debt with a vengeance.

  • Offer novel solutions to solve our complex and evolving problems.

Technical QualificationsRequired:
  • Strong proficiency with Python

  • Experience with large databases

Preferred:
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Engineering

  • 5+ years of experience as a backend software engineer

  • Proficient in Django

Office Requirements:
  • We are a fully distributed team (100% remote) with travel required 1-2 times per year.

  • A stable work environment with designated workspace and access to high-speed internet.
