Crescent Energy is seeking an experienced Senior IT Program Managerto lead and deliver critical technology programs that support our upstream oil & gas operations. This role is responsible for managing complex, multi-workstream initiatives that span IT, business units, and external partners. The ideal candidate brings deep oil & gas experience, strong financial and program management discipline, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving, collaborative environment.

This role partners closely with Crescent Energy leadership to ensure technology initiatives align with business strategy, operational needs, and financial objectives while maintaining flexibility to adapt as priorities evolve.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead enterprise-level IT programs supporting Crescent Energy's oil & gas business, including upstream operations, corporate systems, and SaaS-based platforms
  • Manage full program lifecycle activities, including planning, execution, risk management, dependency management, and delivery using standard project and program management principles
  • Own financial oversight for programs and projects, including budget development, forecasting, cost tracking, and executive-level financial reporting
  • Partner with leaders across all Crescent Energy business units to understand priorities, align technology initiatives, and drive successful outcomes
  • Serve as a primary point of coordination between IT, business stakeholders, and external vendors
  • Manage relationships with third-party vendors, consultants, and SaaS providers to ensure delivery commitments, timelines, and contractual expectations are met
  • Provide clear, concise communication to leadership regarding program status, risks, financials, and recommendations
  • Quickly pivot and re-prioritize in response to changing business needs, market conditions, or leadership direction
  • Take a hands-on, team-first approach-willing to jump in at any level and assist where needed to help Crescent Energy achieve common goals
  • Foster a positive, flexible, and solution-oriented mindset that supports collaboration and continuous improvement

Required Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in IT program and/or project management
  • Extensive experience working within the oil & gas industry (required)
  • Proven track record managing complex, cross-functional IT programs with financial accountability
  • Strong understanding of standard project and program management methodologies (PMI, Agile, hybrid approaches)
  • Experience managing external vendors and SaaS-based technology solutions
  • Ability to work effectively with executives, senior leadership, and teams across all levels of the organization
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business-focused outcomes
  • Demonstrated ability to succeed in a fast-paced, changing environment with shifting priorities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with oil & gas-specific software and upstream technology platforms
  • Experience supporting lean or growth-oriented oil & gas organizations
