Job description

We are currently looking for a Capture Manager for a 100% remote position supporting the growth of our Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) business. This role will partner closely with an experienced Account Executive, Solutions Architect, and Proposal team to execute capture activities for qualified opportunities throughout the federal acquisition lifecycle. The ideal candidate has experience supporting federal capture, business development, or proposal efforts and enjoys keeping pursuits organized, collaborative, and moving toward successful contract awards.

This is an excellent opportunity for an early to mid-career capture professional to work alongside experienced growth leaders while expanding their expertise in federal capture management. The role focuses on executing capture strategies, maintaining disciplined pursuit management, and supporting opportunities across digital transformation, cloud modernization, interoperability, artificial intelligence, and data analytics initiatives within the VA.

The candidate must reside within the continental US.

Responsibilities

  • Support and manage capture activities throughout the federal acquisition lifecycle for assigned opportunities.
  • Execute capture activities for qualified pursuits, ensuring alignment with established win strategies and customer priorities.
  • Conduct customer research, opportunity analysis, and competitive intelligence to support capture planning and positioning.
  • Collaborate closely with the Account Executive, Solutions Architect, pricing, and proposal teams to develop competitive capture strategies and winning solutions.
  • Coordinate internal gate reviews and maintain capture artifacts, action items, and opportunity documentation.
  • Support teaming strategies, partner coordination, subcontractor engagement, and customer outreach activities.
  • Support customer meetings, industry events, capability briefings, and partner engagements to strengthen opportunity positioning.
  • Support the development of win themes, pricing inputs, and value propositions in collaboration with senior growth leaders.
  • Maintain accurate opportunity records, pipeline updates, and capture documentation using Salesforce, GovWin, and other growth management tools.
  • Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to support team objectives and ensure the success of the project.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience supporting federal capture, business development, proposal management, or related growth activities.
  • Working knowledge of the federal acquisition lifecycle, IDIQs, GWACs, and task order competitions.
  • Experience supporting or participating in federal proposal development and capture planning activities.
  • Familiarity with capture gate reviews, proposal development, and color team review processes.
  • Experience supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is strongly preferred. Experience supporting other federal healthcare agencies such as HHS, CMS, NIH, CDC, or FDA is also valued.
  • Exposure to federal health IT domains such as cloud modernization, application modernization, data analytics, interoperability, or artificial intelligence is preferred.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce (or similar CRM), GovWin, SAM.gov, and Microsoft Office applications.

Additional Qualifications

  • Experience supporting VA contract vehicles such as T4NG, T4NG2, VECTOR, or other federal healthcare acquisition programs is a plus.
  • Shipley or APMP certification is a plus.
