Job description

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) responds to the world's worst humanitarian crises, helping to restore health, safety, education, economic wellbeing, and power to people devastated by conflict and disaster. Founded in 1933 at the call of Albert Einstein, the IRC is one of the world's largest international humanitarian non-governmental organizations (INGO), at work in more than 40 countries and 29 U.S. cities helping people to survive, reclaim control of their future and strengthen their communities. A force for humanity, IRC employees deliver lasting impact by restoring safety, dignity and hope to millions. If you're a solutions-driven, passionate change-maker, come join us in positively impacting the lives of millions of people world-wide for a better future.

About the IRC

The IT department provides end-to-end solutions for the organization including application development & integration, system deployment, quality assurance & testing, and overall Project Management in an effort to help the organization build and implement the best solutions for its business needs.

The Opportunity

This is a high-impact, fast-paced role at the intersection of technology delivery, stakeholder engagement, and mission-driven purpose.

You'll be a core member of our Project Management team, working across a modern MarTech ecosystem - including donation and e-commerce platforms (Fundraise Up, Springboard), our website (Drupal), Salesforce CRM, Databricks, email marketing (Pardot), and SMS platforms (Mobile Commons, Mogli). You'll own the delivery of enhancements, integrations, and new capability launches that keep the IRC's digital supporter experience best-in-class.

  • Modern delivery - Agile/Scrum at the core, with room to shape how the team works.
  • Remote-first flexibility - work from anywhere in the US as part of a truly global organization.

What You'll Do

Drive end-to-end program delivery Own the full lifecycle of multiple concurrent MarTech initiatives - from scope definition and roadmap planning through to launch and post-delivery review. Develop and maintain detailed project plans, work breakdown structures, and product backlogs, ensuring delivery against time, budget, and quality targets.

Champion Agile ways of working Serve as Scrum Master for your project and product teams - coaching on Agile principles, facilitating sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, and reviews, and proactively removing blockers to keep delivery on track.

Keep stakeholders informed and aligned Prepare clear, timely status reports covering scope, milestones, risks, and budget. Communicate confidently with audiences from engineers to senior executives, tailoring your message appropriately. Manage expectations and build trust across business and technology teams.

Manage budgets and vendors Oversee budget tracking and vendor invoicing for your portfolio. Support cost estimation, validate expenditure, and contribute to the annual budget planning process to ensure initiatives are delivered within financial targets.

Lead business analysis activities Work with the team to define and track functional and technical requirements, document current and future state processes, and coordinate testing activities. Partner closely with Business Analysts to ensure delivery is grounded in well-understood business needs.

What You'll Bring
