Job Description
Healthcare Analytics Solutions (HAS) is an innovative team within Quest Diagnostics that leverages Quest data to develop products and services to improve outcomes in healthcare across many different markets (Pharma, Clinical Trials, Health Plans/Payors, Hospitals/Health Systems, and Public Health agencies).
This role will support the Innovation Architecture and Advanced Analytics (IA3) vertical as a strategic leader responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of innovation projects, from ideation to execution, ensuring they align with the organization's strategic goals. The Sr. Program Manager will drive the organization's growth and competitive edge by fostering a culture of innovation and leveraging advanced analytics. Responsibilities will include the managing of a portfolio of interconnected projects, guiding cross-functional teams in developing and prototyping new solutions while also managing the innovation pipeline, budget, and resources. You will act as a bridge between strategic vision and execution, ensuring that innovative ideas and data-driven insights are translated into tangible business value and steering projects toward achieving business goals through the successful delivery of analytics products and innovative solutions.
Key projects you will manage include advanced machine learning/AI development to create a precision healthcare platform for HAS and Quest. To successfully support and drive these initiatives you will partner with IA3 scientists and leadership to manage complex technology programs from concept to deployment.
Responsibilities
Strategic Alignment & Roadmap Development
• Act as a strategic partner and chief of staff to business and technology leads, ensuring the 12-18-month IA3 product and platform plans align with long-term enterprise priorities.
• Develop and maintain the comprehensive IA3 portfolio and program roadmaps, including dependency maps, milestone plans, and critical paths, to guide the evolution of our innovation architecture and analytics capabilities.
• Facilitate the translation of the high-level IA3 vision into executable, multi-team programs, surfacing strategic trade-offs and opportunity costs to leadership to ensure alignment on the highest-value initiatives.
• Drive technology alignment and decision-making not only within the IA3 vertical but also across all related business and technology verticals to ensure cohesive strategy and execution.
Program Execution & Delivery Management
• Champion the organization's operating frameworks (e.g., Stage Gate, Stage Gate Lite) to ensure a seamless idea-to-market execution for all IA3 initiatives, from concept to delivery.
• Serve as the primary interface between the IA3 team and its partners, managing the intake, clarification, and prioritization of all development requests for dashboards, data science, and innovation architecture.
• Proactively identify and manage cross-priority dependencies, execution risks, and capacity constraints, driving timely resolution of blockers to maintain momentum.
• Ensure that shared and dedicated Advanced Analytics capacity is understood and allocated effectively against the highest-value initiatives, protecting platform and infrastructure work from unplanned disruption.
Stakeholder Communication & Accountability
• Serve as the primary point of accountability for the health and outcomes of the entire IA3 portfolio, including all programs and initiatives within it.
• Drive alignment and decision-making across a wide array of stakeholders, including Product, Technology, Sales, Marketing, and senior leadership.
• Assimilate and deliver concise, executive-ready updates on plans, progress, risks, and required decisions at a regular cadence, building trust as a neutral, data-driven integrator.
• Ensure communication is aligned across all internal IA3 teams and with other technology verticals, guaranteeing that commitments made to leadership and business teams are realistic and achievable.
Technology liaison
• Work closely with AI/ML science teams as well as business leads to ensure tight integration between product and commercial needs and technology platforms.
• Act as an AI/ML champion across HAS by helping to coordinate education and training for all HAS members.
• Coordinate and manage IA3 platform projects that reach beyond HAS by liaising with the broader Quest enterprise stakeholders.
Qualifications
Required Experience:
• A minimum of 6-10 years of demonstrated experience leading complex programs and projects from initiation to completion in a technology or data-focused environment.
• Deep experience with both waterfall and agile methodologies, including specific expertise in SAFe/Scrum frameworks, to guide teams effectively.
• Proven ability to lead impactful change, facilitate high-stakes discussions and workshops, and influence business leaders and stakeholders at all levels. Must be skilled in developing strong, collaborative relationships across the organization.
• Demonstrated success partnering with clinical, technical, compliance and commercial teams to deliver complex products
• Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and deliver high-quality products within defined timelines.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
• Demonstrated data analysis skills with some experience in continuous improvement and process management to drive data-informed decisions.
• Experience with AI/ML development and deployment.
