Join our team as a Technical Program Manager in our Mission and Program Engineering department, working across software- and systems-oriented teams responsible for designing how our satellites fulfill mission requirements and ensuring on-orbit success. In this role, you'll contribute directly by supporting our team in their planning and execution, focusing on delivering high-quality solutions on time. Help "pave the road" by developing lightweight and intuitive processes that can further drive team efficiencies. You will also work closely with our TPM group across Loft to help guide how teams work effectively and efficiently together.

About this Role:
  • Represent MPE teams for program and mission development activities, attending key meetings. Monitor progress and communicate changes in priorities, schedules, risks, and dependencies
  • Encourage and enforce best practices in deliverable tracking and reporting using Jira and Confluence, integrating with program/mission schedules where possible
  • Identify and address process inefficiencies, propose experiments, and implement solutions (often through automation)
  • Support team leads in roadmap planning, requirements gathering, and monthly/quarterly deliverable reviews
  • Act as the point of contact for stakeholders regarding the status, risks, and dependencies of major initiatives
  • Drive and support Agile-based software development, improving visibility, processes, and documentation
  • Foster cross-team and cross-office collaboration, helping teams work efficiently across different time zones
Must Haves:
  • 3+ years of technical program/project management experience (preferably in software)
  • Proficiency with Jira and Confluence
  • Demonstrated experience facilitating Agile development teams (Scrum, Kanban, or similar)
  • Analytical mindset plus the ability to develop processes to address operational challenges, automating whenever possible
  • Strong interpersonal skills; capable of influencing others without formal authority
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop materials for an executive audience
  • Ability to travel at least once per quarter for cross-office collaboration
Nice to Haves:
  • Background in the space industry, tech startups, and organizations building both hardware and software solutions
  • Previous experience working with an international team across time zones
  • Experience in product management or working closely with product teams
  • Experience with Python or automation/scripting in software engineering environments

State law requires us to tell you the base compensation range for this role, which is $120,000- $160,000 per year in Colorado. This is determined by your education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.  The salary range for this role is intentionally wide as we evaluate individuals based on their unique experience and abilities to fit our needs.
