Purpose:

Our growing company is seeking to hire a Manager, Program Management, who will oversee program delivery and deployments, lead a team of project managers and oversight into our ongoing programs. This task involves monitoring project plans, schedules, work hours, budgets, and expenditures, organizing and participating in stakeholder meetings, and ensuring that program deadlines are met in a timely manner. As a Manager, Program Management will plan, lead Project Managers as direct reports, and will act as point of escalation for ongoing projects and programs. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors to deliver Projects and Programs according to plan. The manager, Program Management will work with Agency Solutions Business Partners to assist in defining the program’s objectives and oversee delivery and quality control throughout its life cycle.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage medium to large scale programs including multiple Programs.
  • Manage multiple project assignments in parallel to ensure timely delivery.
  • Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing team of Project Managers.
  • Providing clear direction, coaching, and career development while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continual improvement.
  • Execute on Program and project management policies, guidelines and program parameters.
  • Develop and maintain program roadmaps, including timelines, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables.
  • Align cross-functional teams (engineering, product, design, finance, operations) toward shared objectives.
  • Plan and define program scope, ensuring each project contributes to broader strategic goals.
  • Coordinate resources and manage budgets, collaborating with departments to allocate funding and staffing.
  • Monitor program performance, track progress, and ensure projects remain on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Coordinate prioritization of projects within the Program to ensure consistency with corporate strategies.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, proactively developing contingency plans.
  • Establish governance frameworks to standardize project execution across workstreams.
  • Communicate status updates to leadership, prepare executive summaries, and maintain documentation.
  • Perform root cause analysis, issues management and conflict resolution.
  • Facilitate stakeholder alignment, ensuring expectations are clear and consistent across teams.
  • Optimize workflows and processes to improve delivery predictability and efficiency.
  • Oversee integration and alignment of resources (internal & external) schedules.

Requirements:

  • Ability to influence without authority and drive alignment across diverse teams.
  • Strong decision-making, negotiation, and conflict-resolution abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through ambiguity and drive clarity.
  • Understanding of project ICT (Information and Communications Technologies) infrastructure requirements, including:
  • Networking & telecommunications; Hardware, Operating systems & Applications.
  • Ability to work in a controlled PMO structure with defined processes.
  • Information and systems security; Business risk & continuity planning.
  • PMP or CAPM preferred (a certificate in PM will be considered for those with excellent track records)
  • Experience in customer-facing role and excellent presentation and listening skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and client relationship skills interacting with a wide range of IT and management professionals, including executives.
  • Proficient communicating at all levels within an organization.
  • Extremely organized and capable of tracking, managing and resolving issues in multiple activities.
  • Ability to proactively identify and implement risk mitigation and issue resolution strategies to ensure program success.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, problem solving and process thinking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, coordination and organizational skills.
  • Excellent presentation and listening skills.
  • General knowledge of data center technologies, Telecom and IP networks
  • Proficient in the use in the Microsoft Suite including MS Project, JIRA and Smartsheet.
  • High degree of tenacity and persistence to get tasks completed on schedule.
  • Ability to deal with change and learn new technology and processes. Determine priorities, make decisions, and implement management systems.
  • Ability to work with different groups (internal and external) to build consensus.
  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience working in Project Management and experience managing projects as a Delivery/Deployment Project Manager directly overseeing customer projects

Education:

  • Diploma in technology or equivalent or a bachelor's degree in a related field of study
  • PMP or CAPM preferred (a certificate in PM will be considered for those with excellent track records)
