Overview
We are seeking a Deputy Program Manager/Program Manager to join our team in Denver, CO.
We are seeking a Tolls/ITS/Systems/Technology Senior Project Manager/Deputy Program Manager to join our team in Denver Colorado Office to lead and work on various Transportation Technology Projects.
Your role
  • Directs projects compliance with contract terms, monitors subcontractors' progress, performance and compliance with contractual commitments; participates in contract dispute resolution and litigation concerning project performance, administration and other liability issues; reviews and approves subconsultant and vendor invoices and resolves payment disputes.
  • Supports projects and program delivery and monitors and establishes PMO best practices and implements waterfall and various agile frameworks and toolsets.
  • Maintains and monitors overall program schedule and identifies projects interdependencies. Develops technical and executive level PowerPoints, data analysis reporting and white papers with recommendations as requested and appropriate.
  • Develops, communicates and manages program and project quality assurance, administrative procedures and documents, communication guidelines, project deliverable formats and specifications, and progress reporting requirements.
  • Monitors staff schedules, billings and reports; ensures appropriate charging of manhours, costs and expenses to projects; assists in obtaining payment from clients; communicates project progress/status to senior management and alerts them of project production, quality control or financial performance problems.
  • Coordinates communication between internal and external associates and clients, and between firm and regulatory agencies; including managing internal and external meetings. Maintains frequent contact with clients and regulatory agency personnel to determine their respective needs and requirements and serves as expert witness at project hearings and judicial proceedings if necessary.
  • Supervises other project managers, technical professionals and other staff including managing weekly project workload and manpower forecasting; and conducting regular meetings with staff for updates on work.
  • Serves as mentor to associate project managers and project managers.
  • Assists as requested in the development and tracking of proposals.
  • Performs such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.

About you
  • Bachelor's degree required. Graduate degree is highly desirable.
  • 12 years professional experience; 6-8 years PM experience, including some experience managing multi-discipline projects
  • PMP certification is required or must be obtained within one year of appointment
  • Under direction, provides professional and project management expertise in the direction of highly unconventional projects requiring multiple technical units and/or subcontractors, heavy regulatory agency involvement or extremely complex technical requirements.
  • Also performs the basic project functions of production coordination, planning, organizing, directing, controlling, financial management and marketing.
  • This role is envisioned to be a growth role with client interactions.
  • Proven interpersonal skills, public speaking and persuasive ability; strong project financial management and team management skills; knowledge of production support systems and personal computer proficiency.
