OVERVIEW
The Deputy Task Lead is a cross-functional execution lead that helps translate strategic direction from program, operational, product, transformation, and technical leadership into actionable plans, documented decisions, tracked deliverables, coordinated implementation activities, and clear status reporting. The position focuses on integration and follow-through across internal team efforts, while preserving clear lanes for operational leadership, product ownership, technical strategy, and day-to-day case management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support program leadership by coordinating priorities, cross-functional activities, and leadership coverage as needed.
  • Track action items, milestones, deliverables, decisions, risks, dependencies, blockers, and follow-up items across workstreams.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to maintain visibility and drive issue resolution
  • Support workstream transformation by tracking improvement projects, implementation activities, stakeholder coordination, and workflow documentation.
  • Translate strategic ideas and process improvement opportunities into actionable plans, timelines, decision logs, and status updates.
  • Capture meeting outcomes, clarify next steps, facilitate status reviews, and help keep work moving between meetings.
  • Support monthly reporting, leadership summaries, CMS-facing updates, deliverable tracking, and early identification of gaps or risks.
  • Document business needs, decisions, assumptions, implementation impacts, automation opportunities, and workflow standardization recommendations.
  • Assist with SOPs, job aids, implementation materials, training coordination, communications, change readiness, feedback collection, and adoption tracking.
  • Support product and technology follow-through by tracking decisions, open questions, risks, dependencies, readiness items, operational impacts, and training needs.
  • Lead special projects assigned by program leadership with emphasis on execution, documentation, implementation support, and follow-through.

  • US citizen or Authorized to Work and lived in the US for 3 of the last 5 years. Must be eligible to obtain a federal government client badge and successfully pass a Public Trust background investigation.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, Management, or a related field required. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of six years of progressive experience in business analysis, program support, stakeholder engagement, implementation management, process improvement, systems coordination, and/or federal consulting.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional initiatives, coordinating priorities across multiple workstreams, and driving execution in complex organizational environments.
  • Proven ability to elicit, analyze, document, and translate business, operational, and technical requirements into actionable plans, user stories, process documentation, and implementation activities.
  • Strong understanding of project governance, risk management, dependency tracking, issue resolution, and executive-level status reporting.
  • Experience facilitating meetings with business, technical, operational, and executive stakeholders, documenting decisions, and driving accountability for follow-up actions.
  • Preferred experience supporting requirements documents, reporting dashboards, case management systems, or technology modernization efforts.
