The Health And Peace Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team in a remote capacity, providing valuable support to clients enrolled in our detox programs. This full-time role is critical in enhancing the mental health and overall well-being of individuals facing mental health challenges, specifically those who require assistance during their recovery journey.

The detox center environment requires a proactive approach, as clinicians must maintain effective communication with clients and healthcare professionals while ensuring adherence to ethical and safety standards. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse population and develop a unique understanding of the complexities involved in addiction and mental health recovery.

• Provide therapy and counseling services both individually and in group settings for clients struggling with mental illness and substance use disorders.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop tailored treatment plans that align with clients’ specific needs, ensuring the integration of necessary services.
• Monitor and document client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to best support their recovery journey.
• Serve as an active member of the clinical team, collaborating with colleagues to enhance program effectiveness and client outcomes.
• Participate in on-call duties during and after program hours, ensuring clients have access to necessary support and intervention when required.
• Facilitate crisis intervention as needed, employing de-escalation techniques and safety protocols to protect clients and staff.
• Engage with community resources, enhancing clients’ access to additional services such as housing, vocational training, and healthcare.
• Champions patient-centered care, emphasizing choice and empowerment in every interaction with clients.

In this role, you will primarily work with clients facing major mental illnesses and severe emotional disorders. Clients generally come from underserved backgrounds, requiring culturally competent care tailored to their individual experiences and needs. Your empathy and understanding will be essential in building trust with clients, empowering them throughout their recovery process.

• Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) or a related field is mandatory.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Connecticut is required.
• Proven expertise in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning of mental health disorders, along with risk assessment and crisis management.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, essential for effective client engagement and documentation.
• Strong organizational capabilities with a results-oriented mindset to meet performance goals.
• Familiarity with developmentally appropriate practices and treatment models catering to various age groups and populations served.

• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a mental health setting, particularly with clients dealing with addiction and co-occurring disorders.
• Bilingual capabilities, particularly in English and Spanish, are highly preferred to enhance communication with our diverse client base.
