Job description

Summary
This position is with the U. S. Department of Labor, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) in the Directorate of Cooperative and State Programs (DCSP), within the Office of Outreach Services and Alliances (OOSA) located in Washington, D.C.
  • This position is at the full performance level.
  • This position is inside the bargaining unit.
  • This position is NOT remote. Selectee will be expected to report to the office listed above.

Duties
Help
Duties for the Program Analyst position include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Coordinating Alliance Program requirements and activities related to assigned participants and as a liaison to regional and other field staff.
  • Drafting and recommending revisions to existing programmatic (Alliance) policies and guidelines.
  • Developing presentations that communicate the value of OSHA programs and initiatives, features and benefits of the Alliance Program and OSHA products and services, and soliciting active program participation.
  • Representing the agency at meetings of labor organizations, trade and industry associations, and other groups interested in occupational safety and health.
  • Providing technical support to assigned regions on the implementation of the Alliance program policies and procedures.

Qualifications
You must meet the Specialized Experience to qualify for Management Analyst, as described below.
Specialized Experience is the experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform the duties of the position successfully, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level.
To qualify for the GS-13: Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, GS-12. Qualifying specialized experience for the GS-13 includes:
  • Managing relationships with external organizations and/or entities that represent a regulated community (e.g., trade associations, labor organizations, etc.).
  • Sharing agency data, outreach, and/or compliance materials related to safety and health programs.
  • Researching, reviewing and/or compiling technical resources and studies.
