Key Responsibilities

As a Clinical Mental Health Counselor, you will:

  • Provide individualized therapy sessions, either one-on-one or in group settings, catering to the unique psychological needs of clients.
  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify clientsโ€™ mental health challenges and develop tailored treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date treatment logs, summarizing client progress and necessary adjustments to care plans.

  • Provide educational resources and supportive programs to clients and their families, fostering a deeper understanding of mental health.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The clients you will serve range widely in age and backgrounds, including individuals facing various psychological issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral challenges. Your expertise will be instrumental in assessing their needs and guiding them towards healthier mental states. You may refer clients to additional specialized professionals when necessary to ensure comprehensive treatment.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelorโ€™s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling is required.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a clinical or counseling setting is mandatory.
  • Must hold a current and valid license in the state of Tennessee as an LPC, LCSW, LMFT, LPC/MHSP, or PsyD.
Preferred Experience

Experience working in a community health or telehealth setting is preferred but not required. Familiarity with evidence-based practices and therapeutic modalities is highly valued, as well as proficiency in using digital tools for client management and teletherapy.
