Job Description

Our preference is for a hybrid candidate in Chicago, IL area, but are open to remote work arrangements.

The Cost Analyst is responsible for routine gathering, analysis and review of cost data for standard rate setting. The position will report to the Director of Cost and Integration. This role will work on a monthly basis to gather financial and performance data from the company's shop floor systems and to calculate and review the data for accuracy.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the gathering of financial and performance data required from the various systems to create the cost rates.
  • Analyzing cost data and validating the accuracy and the assignment to the correct category.
  • Work with local teams at each manufacturing facility to better understand the operations and systems used.
  • Maintenance of different tables used in the operations (as assigned)
    • Product code Setup in WCSS with the EUDR - HTS codes as well. Used by all
    • Materials codes in SAP for use in the MIPS/Labels locations
    • Cost centers and Work center setup in SAP for MIPS /Labels locations
    • Cost rates in SAP/MIPS, Foundation, InfoShare and Radius
  • Publish reports for summary of monthly data for both internal and external use.
    • Unit of measure, Cycle Counts, Balance sheets, Finished goods by location.
  • Assists external auditors with a general controls review and specific testing at their direction.
  • Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or relevant field is required
  • At least 4 years of experience in Accounting and Cost Accounting is required
  • Strong individual leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communications skills and ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Must be proficient with financial systems and software. Knowledge of SAP, Essbase, Access and Excel/Sheets is essential.
  • Knowledge of WCSS (RRD system), Foundation, InfoShare and Radius preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills are required.
  • Able to apply business acumen and collaborative skills when resolving problems.
  • Self-starter with excellent organizational and time management skills to manage multiple projects concurrently.
Additional Information

RRD's current salary range for this role is $64,000 to $98,400 / year. The salary range may be adjusted
based on the applicable geographic location of the hired employee, and the range may change in the
future. At RRD, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and
compensation decisions may vary based upon, but not limited to education, skills, experience, proficiency,
performance, shift and location. Depending on the role, in addition to base salary, the total compensation
package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program. RRD's benefit
offerings include medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, disability insurance, 401(k) with
company match, life insurance and other voluntary supplemental insurance coverages, plus parental
leave, adoption assistance, tuition assistance and employer/partner discounts.
