Position Description: Financial Analyst - Contingent Pipeline Opportunity - We're building a talent pipeline for upcoming U.S. Government defense IT and analytics support roles. Opportunities are contingent upon task order awards and funding under existing contracts.


Location: Remote


Responsibilities:

  • Track program financial performance across assigned Work Orders
  • Develop and manage budgets in alignment with DoD financial planning processes
  • Support the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution process
  • Prepare financial forecasts and cost estimates
  • Monitor expenditures and reconcile funding streams
  • Support development of funding justifications and financial reports
  • Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to leadership
  • Ensure compliance with DoD financial management policies and controls
  • Coordinate with program managers to align budget execution with project needs

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field
    OR 5 (five) years of equivalent experience in financial management
  • Experience supporting DoD budget execution and financial reporting
  • Working knowledge of the PPBE process
  • Experience with cost estimation and financial forecasting
  • Experience reconciling funding and tracking expenditures
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with defense financial management systems
  • Experience supporting congressional budget justifications
  • Experience in funding reconciliation across multiple appropriations
  • Experience working in a federal or regulated environment

Certifications:

  • Required: None
  • Preferred: Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM), CPA, DAWIA Level II in Financial Management, PMP, Lean Six Sigma certification
