Job description

The Opportunity:

We're looking for a strategic finance leader to partner with GTM executives and help shape the future of the Finance & Strategy organization. This role combines financial leadership, business partnership, data-driven decision making, and finance transformation to improve business outcomes and scale the organization.

This is a senior individual contributor role - you'll lead through influence and expertise rather than direct reports. It reports to the Senior Director, GTM Finance & Strategy.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Partner with GTM leadership to translate business strategy into financial plans, investment decisions, and measurable outcomes.
  • Lead annual planning, forecasting, long-range planning, and driver-based financial models across GTM.
  • Deliver actionable financial insights, scenario analysis, and executive recommendations that influence strategic decisions.
  • Modernize Finance through AI, automation, and scalable planning processes that improve speed, quality, and forecast accuracy.
  • Partner with Data & Analytics to improve financial metrics, data quality, dashboards, and self-service reporting.
  • Drive strategic investment analysis, resource allocation, and performance management across the business.
  • Support complex commercial decisions and strategic initiatives through financial modeling and cross-functional partnership.
  • Continuously improve finance processes, reporting, and operating leverage through technology and automation.
What Makes You a Great Fit:
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Finance, Strategy, FP&A, or Corporate Finance within high-growth SaaS or technology companies.
  • Proven experience partnering with executive leadership to influence strategic business decisions.
  • Strong financial modeling, planning, forecasting, and scenario analysis expertise.
  • Experience building scalable finance processes and improving operational efficiency through automation.
  • Passion for leveraging AI, automation, and modern technologies to transform Finance.
  • Strong understanding of SaaS business models and key metrics, including ARR, NRR, GRR, CAC, and LTV.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and business judgment with the ability to simplify complex decisions.
  • Strong communication and executive storytelling skills with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization.
  • Experience collaborating across Sales, Customer Success, Product, Operations, and Data teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • High integrity, ownership, curiosity, and a continuous improvement mindset.
Compensation & Rewards:

In the United States, the base compensation range for this role is $185,000 - $220,000. Actual compensation may vary based on level, experience, and skillset as assessed throughout the interview process. All of our roles include Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), giving every team member ownership in Grafana Labs' success. We believe in shared outcomes-RSUs help us stay aligned and invested as we scale globally.
