What You'll Do

As a Dental Claims Analyst, you'll be trained on x-rays, gingivitis, and all things dental! You'll be given the opportunity to apply your knowledge to problem solve and accurately pay claims. Success will come from being ambitious, independent thinking, having a strong ability to zone in on details and recognizing you part in the big picture.

Your day will be filled with:

  • Analyzing and investigating dental claims in accordance with plan provisions and state & federal regulations.
  • Accurately making decisions in a timely and effective manner.
  • Interpreting dental x-rays and anatomy, clinical narratives, office notes, contract provisions and claim procedures.
  • Appling analytical skills to navigate through multiple online resources.
  • Working independently with good time management skills as well as in a team environment.
  • Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required.

Who You Are
  • 2+years related work experience (i.e. financial services, insurance industry, claims processing, or dental insurance experience).
  • Intermediate to advanced PC and keyboarding skills while efficiently navigating and using multiple technology solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to use math skills to analyze claim payments.
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality, and pay strict attention to detail while thriving in a fast-paced, production environment.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem solving and quick decision making skills.
  • Course work in medical/dental terminology, and/or industry courses preferred (i.e., HIAA, ICA, etc.).
  • Experience with claims paying, coding, customer service, and/or medical/dental industry preferred.

Salary Range Information
Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)
$18.17 - $32.31 / hour

  • Wichita, KS: $18.17 - $24.23 / hour
  • Des Moines, IA: $19.18 - $25.58 / hour
  • Charlotte, NC: $20.19 - $26.92 / hour
  • Chicago/Minneapolis: $22.21 - $29.62 / hour
  • Los Angeles/New York City: $24.23 - $32.31 / hour

Time Off Program
Personal Time Off (PTO) is provided to hourly (non-exempt) employees and provides a set amount of accrued time earned each pay period. Employees can use their PTO for vacation, personal or short-term illness.

This role offers in-office, hybrid (blending at least three office days in a typical workweek), and remote work arrangements. You’ll work with your leader to figure out which option may align best based on several factors.
