Job description

ABOUT US

KaiPod Learning operates a network of microschools across 21 states.

We believe deeply that every parent deserves the right to send their children to a school they love. Unfortunately, most parents cannot access these schools either because they don't exist near them or they're simply unaffordable.

We are working to change that reality in two ways. First, we partner with exceptional educators to help them start their own microschools. KaiPod Catalyst, our school startup accelerator, is the largest in the nation and can cut the time and cost to start a school by 90%.

Second, we are building the operating system to power this new generation of schools. We are the fastest growing network of our kind anywhere and our technology platform and our services help these schools grow, have greater impact, and change the face of American education.

Our long-term vision is bold: to connect 1 million students globally through the power of microschooling. The name KaiPod comes from the Greek word kairos, meaning the right moment to act. For millions of families, that moment is now.

We're backed by Y Combinator, Reach Capital, and other top-tier investors who believe in the future of personalized, place-based education.

ABOUT THE ROLE

KaiPod Learning is seeking a highly organized, systems-oriented Software Product Manager to help scale the development and delivery of our software platform. This role sits at the intersection of Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and Operations, ensuring that product initiatives move efficiently from idea to launch while maintaining clear communication, documentation, and alignment across teams.

The ideal candidate is equal parts product manager and product operations expert. They thrive in fast-moving startup environments, enjoy bringing structure to ambiguity, and are passionate about creating systems that help teams execute effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Customer Research & Feedback Management
    • Conduct customer interviews and user research sessions.
    • Translate customer feedback into actionable recommendations for the product team.
    • Prioritize roadmap initiatives based on customer impact and business objectives.
  • Product Operations & Delivery
    • Track product development timelines, milestones, dependencies, and risks to ensure projects stay on schedule.
    • Facilitate release readiness reviews and launch coordination.
    • Own the Newton metrics dashboard & report on product adoption and usage trends.
    • Create and maintain product documentation, release notes, and internal resources.
  • Customer Onboarding & Support
    • Lead new customer onboarding, ensuring successful adoption of new features.
    • Conduct customer training sessions and demonstrations.
    • Triage inbound customer support tickets and partner with account managers to ensure customer satisfaction.
ABOUT YOU

You are a builder at heart. You are exceptionally organized, detail-oriented, and proactive. You thrive in bringing structure to complex and ambiguous situations and enjoy building systems and processes that help teams operate more efficiently. You are naturally curious and enjoy digging into customer feedback, identifying patterns, and turning insights into actionable recommendations.

You communicate clearly, follow through on commitments, and can effectively coordinate work across multiple stakeholders with competing priorities. You anticipate challenges before they become problems, maintain a high standard of quality in your work, and take ownership of outcomes rather than simply completing tasks.

You are excited by the opportunity to help shape a fast-growing company at an important stage. That means you are adaptable, low-ego, hungry to learn, and open to feedback. You thrive in environments where the playbook is still being written and your voice shapes what comes next.

More specifically, we are looking for candidates with:

  • 37+ years of experience in Product Operations, Product Management, or a similar role.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
  • Strong written communication and documentation abilities.
  • Ability to synthesize large amounts of qualitative and quantitative information into actionable insights.
  • High attention to detail and strong follow-through.
  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Experience as a self-starter learning and implementing software to improve task management, analytics etc.

Our team, along with our school network, spans the country. We are looking for strong candidates to work remotely and with the ability to travel and visit partner sites, as needed.
