Details:
Product Manager -Finance
Location: Remote - Quarterly travel to Houston or New Orleans
Duration: 12 months
Summary
The Finance Product Manager will lead strategic initiatives to improve our ability to track and manage costs across the organization. They will work closely with the Accounting and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) teams to identify and scope process and platform improvements and will partner with the Technology team to develop and deliver these improvements.
Essential Job Functions
  • Work with the Accounting and FP&A teams to lead a company-wide effort to track and account for costs on an individual project level
  • Facilitate collaboration and discovery with each business unit to map out how costs are currently being tracked and assigned
  • Working with the business units, develop a set of requirements to transform our processes and tech platforms to assign costs to projects.
  • Work closely with Technology to create a project plan, identifying timelines and budget for implementation
  • Support requirements clarification during software development, UAT, and launch and provide regular updates to business stakeholders with a focus on deadlines and any change management
  • Coordinate launch of new tools and processes with business units.
  • Performs other duties as required

Competencies
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage complex cross-functional projects
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles
  • Proficient in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office preferred
  • Proficient in Google Workspace preferred

Education/Experience
  • Bachelor's degree required in a field that includes accounting or economics coursework
  • 3+ years of project management experience
  • Experience working in or with Accounting and FP&A teams
  • Strong spreadsheet and presentation skills
