What is remote product management?

Remote product management is the practice of overseeing the development and lifecycle of a product from a location outside a traditional office setting. Remote product managers coordinate with cross-functional teams, set product strategy, gather user feedback, and ensure product goals are met, all while working remotely. They use digital tools to collaborate, communicate, and manage projects efficiently. This role requires strong communication and organization skills, as well as the ability to adapt to virtual work environments.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote product manager?

To thrive as a Remote Product Manager, you need a strong foundation in product lifecycle management, market research, and strategic planning, typically supported by a bachelor's degree in business or a related field. Familiarity with tools like Jira, Trello, product analytics platforms, and proficiency in remote collaboration software such as Slack and Zoom are essential. Exceptional communication, leadership, and self-motivation are critical soft skills for aligning dispersed teams and driving product success from a distance. These skills and qualities are vital for effectively managing product development, fostering collaboration, and delivering results in a remote work environment.

How do remote product managers effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams across different time zones?

Remote product managers often work with team members from engineering, design, marketing, and sales who may be located in various regions. To ensure smooth collaboration, they rely heavily on asynchronous communication tools, regular video meetings, and clear documentation of project goals and updates. Establishing core hours for overlap, using shared project management platforms, and fostering a culture of transparency are essential for keeping everyone aligned and engaged. These strategies help remote product managers overcome the challenges of distance and time zone differences, ensuring that projects stay on track and team members remain connected.

Job description

Who We Are
Marketbridge partners with leading B2B brands to create unified Go-to-Market® systems that connect strategy, AI, creativity, activation and measurement. With a team of 350+ across North America and Europe, Marketbridge supports clients worldwide, ranging from Fortune 1000 enterprises to venture-backed, high-growth companies across technology, financial services, healthcare, industrial and consumer sectors. For more information, please visit www.marketbridge.com and follow www.linkedin.com/company/marketbridge/.

Who We're Looking For
We are building an AI-powered operating system that is driving innovation across B2B Marketing, and we are looking for a Senior Director of Product Management to help lead the build. This is a role for someone who wants to stay close to the product: owning major parts of the platform end to end, shipping them fast, and setting the bar for how we build.

Product management has changed, and this role sits at the center of that change. The distance between an idea and a working prototype is now measured in days, not sprints. You will move at that pace, using AI to compress the lifecycle and turn direction into shipped software. If you have spent the last few years learning to build this way, you will do some of the best work of your career here.
Responsibilities
You will take the product direction set for our operating system and turn it into working software, owning the delivery of major parts of the platform and setting the standard for how the team builds.

  • Ownership. Own the roadmap and delivery for one or more major areas of the platform: the data layer, the skills and agents layer, the context layer or the solutions that support our agency and consutling services.

  • Execution. Turn direction into shipped software. Write the specs, build the prototypes, drive end-to-end testing, and establish the ground truths the rest of the work depends on.

  • Standards. Set the bar for how we build. Drive spec-driven development and Product Requirement Docs, and hold quality high while moving fast.

  • Pace. Compress the distance between an idea and a shipped product, using AI across the full lifecycle.

  • Partnership. Work shoulder to shoulder with engineering, analytics, and creative teams to move ideas into production quickly, and mentor the product talent around you.

This role builds. If the phrase vibe coding makes you lean in, you will feel at home here. The engineering team supporting you can move at speed, and the ideas you prototype with stakeholders can be translated into features and functionality that ship into production fast.

How we work
We run on PRD to prototype to spec-driven development, and we move fast because our tooling lets us. Claude and OpenAI are part of the daily workflow, not an experiment on the side. Notion is where our thinking lives. Figma is where our product takes shape. Monday is where manage the work, We have a real process already in place, refined through building, and you will need to absorb it quickly and then help make it better.

What we are looking for
You have real product management experience, the kind that taught you how to find the problem, ship the thing, and stand behind the outcome. Then you learned to build with AI, and you can show us what that looks like in practice, not just in theory.

  • Depth in product management. Years of owning products and shipping them, with outcomes attached, not just scope.

  • A real transition to AI-native work. Concrete evidence of using AI to accelerate the full product lifecycle, with results you can point to.

  • Strong hands-on building. This role builds. You are comfortable prototyping yourself, working spec-first, and moving from idea to working software fast.

  • Fluency with a modern product stack. Claude, OpenAI, Notion, Figma, Monday, Product Requirement Docs, and spec-driven workflows.

  • The ability to integrate quickly. We already have a working process. You can plug in from day one, then help improve it.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of product management experience, including time owning complex products end to end.

  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Hands-on experience with Claude, OpenAI, and other AI tools and platforms.

  • A track record of shipping products on fast timelines, ideally in service-driven or agency-model environments.

  • Familiarity with how AI is reshaping marketing workflows across:

  • Media strategy and optimization

  • Creative automation and personalization

  • Commerce and customer journey performance

  • Marketing analytics and business intelligence

  • Experience with martech or adtech platforms, cloud-based data environments, or analytics frameworks is a plus.

  • Commerce and customer journey performance

  • Marketing analytics and business intelligence

  • Familiarity with enterprise AI ecosystems, martech , revops and adtech platforms, cloud-based environments (AWS / Databricks), and analytics frameworks.

  • A demonstrated ability to bridge technical AI concepts with executive-level business strategy.

  • Experience supporting enterprise solution architecture and change management.

Who you will work with
You will report to the VP of Product Management and work at the center of a small, technical team building something new. The people around you move fast and build with their hands. We are looking for someone who wants to be one of them and help lead them.
Our Culture & Our Core Values

Marketbridge supports Fortune 50 companies and global brands in redefining how they go to market.
