ABOUT THE ROLE

The Associate Manager, Procurement – Surfactants and Miscellaneous Raw Materials, is a pivotal role within the Global Procurement team. In this position you will support the Surfactant and Miscellaneous Chemicals portfolio across all SC Johnson business units in North America. You will be involved with executing and contributing to the 3-5 year category strategy for North America, managing key supplier relationships, negotiating commercial agreements, and driving significant business results in cost savings, working capital improvement, new product innovation, and supply security. Additionally, you will be developing strategic partnerships with suppliers to ensure supply continuity and achieve cost, innovation, and sustainability goals. Successful execution of category strategies will significantly enhance business outcomes in North America, particularly in cost savings, working capital improvement, new product innovation, and supply security.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement the regional procurement sourcing strategy, focusing on supply continuity, cost savings, working capital improvement, sustainability, innovation, and service.

  • Accountable for the delivery of cost savings and working capital improvement in the NA region

  • Manage key supplier relationships and gain a deep understanding of the market and supply base.

  • Execute and lead strategies through RFP processes, supplier evaluations, negotiations, and contract executions.

  • Lead supplier selection for innovation and support commercialization of innovation projects.

  • Partner with suppliers to introduce new products and process innovations that drive profitable growth.

  • Responsible for delivering sustainability goals

  • Deliver accurate inflation forecasts for budgeting, tracking commodities, and mitigating inflation.

  • Align regional strategies with global procurement objectives, ensuring cost savings, risk mitigation, and enhanced supplier performance.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

  • Bachelor of Science degree preferably in Chemistry, Engineering, Business, Finance or Supply Chain or military experience considered in lieu of education requirement

  • Minimum 5 years of work experience in Supply Chain, Procurement/Strategic Sourcing, Finance, Chemical Sales, RD&E or related field

  • Min 2-years’ experience in fast-moving, Consumer Packaged Goods industry or other applicable industries

  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States
