About the Job
We currently have an exciting opportunity for Sr. Program Manager - Retail Construction to join our team. This individual will be responsible for leading the planning and execution of a multi-store retail refresh program across an active store portfolio. This role manages schedules, budgets, consultants, and contractors to deliver consistent, brand-compliant store upgrades while minimizing disruption to store operations. The ideal candidate has experience managing repeatable retail construction programs, understands the complexities of working in open or partially occupied stores, and can balance speed, quality, and cost across multiple locations simultaneously. This position is remote and should be based on the east coast and it reports to the Director of Construction.
What You'll Do | Key Accountabilities
• Lead end-to-end execution of a national or regional retail store refresh rollout, including standardized rollout strategies, store groupings, and phasing plans.
• Manage master program schedules, individual store timelines, and portfolio-level progress, risks, and dependencies across all stores.
• Develop and manage program-level and store-specific construction budgets, including capital tracking and reporting with SDOC & DOC.
• Review estimates, bids, change orders, and pay applications while monitoring cost performance and proactively addressing overruns.
• Coordinate with architects, designers, and brand teams to manage updates, deviations, prototype documentation, and field-driven revisions.
• Manage general contractors, millwork and fixture suppliers, and specialty trades across the refresh program.
• Lead project kickoffs, weekly construction calls, and site coordination meetings to resolve constructability, schedule, and logistics issues and keep stores on track.
• Partner closely with store operations, facilities, and loss prevention teams to plan construction activities that minimize disruption to customers and staff.
• Coordinate off-hour work, phased closures, and turnover schedules to support smooth store operations during refreshes.
• Oversee permitting, inspections, and jurisdictional approvals while ensuring compliance with local codes, ADA requirements, and company safety standards.
• Manage punch lists, store turnover, closeout documentation, and warranties.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, providing clear and consistent reporting on schedule, budget, risks, and milestones.
• Support executive-level updates and rollout performance reviews.
What You'll Bring | Skills & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of experience managing retail or commercial construction or facilities projects.
• Proven experience delivering multi-site retail rollouts or refresh programs.
• Strong understanding of retail construction, fixtures, finishes, and prototypes.
• Proficiency in project management and reporting tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, Procore, Excel).
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with occupied retail renovations and fast-track schedules.
• Familiarity with national rollouts and standardized design packages.
• Experience working with national retail brands and repeat vendor networks.

The starting salary for this position is $107,000- $125,000. Actual compensation within this range will be determined based on factors such as skills, experience, and qualifications. Other compensation may include a 10% Annual Incentive Plan (AIP) bonus paid out according to policy. Base pay information is based on market location and may be subject to prevailing wage laws, if applicable.
