REMOTE ROLE FOR CANDIDATES LOCATED ANYWHERE IN THE EASTERN OR CENTRAL TIME ZONES OF NORTH AMERICA
We are seeking a talented and experienced MDM Data Mapping Analyst to become an integral part of our team! DataCatalyst is a mid-sized global consulting firm that specializes in Data Management, Monetization, and Governance. We are looking for full-time consultants who are business and technology savvy and interested in joining an exceptional team of innovators who successfully deliver value for our clients.
Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and decipher data using statistical techniques
  • Perform data analytics, evaluate the quality of the data, identify and interpret trends or patterns in data sets. Act as an agent of change to help drive data best practices and the concept of data as an asset
  • Participate in data analysis, as well as in the design of data and mapping requirements
  • Work with SMEs and business representatives to understand current data and define the appropriate mapping; resolving discrepancies during data definition as well as providing testing support.
  • Work with cross functional teams to provide missing data and cleanse data
  • Contribute to the development of the migration rules, documenting these rules, developing user test cases for migration test runs, testing the rules during the migration runs.
  • Collect and formulate business requirements via interviews and user discussions
  • Document functional requirements, business processes, use-cases and other project artifacts
  • Write, execute and debug SQL queries to confirm data completeness, correctness, data transformation and data quality testing
  • Leverage industry profiling tools (SAP Information Steward)
  • Create data scorecards within Information Steward for inbound data feeds
  • Create, define and document maps for inbound data feeds to internal targets using industry toolsets

Qualifications
Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, computer science, information management, or statistics
  • 2-3 years of data management experience
  • Good knowledge of data profiling tools and analytical methods
  • Experience with SQL or equivalent database querying language
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Critical thinker who can optimally identify, fix and solve problems
  • Proficiency with Business Intelligence platforms and visualization tools (i.e. Tableau, OBIEE, Looker, Business Objects, QlikView) a plus
  • Excellent data analysis skills, including the ability to work with and profile large data sets
  • Experience working within waterfall and agile project management frameworks
  • Understanding of master data management and data governance practices
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Able to work independently and productively under pressure
  • Ability to work remotely but located on the East Coast
