• Provide direct behavioral health services, including thorough assessments and tailored counseling plans, primarily for Black birthing families.
• Coordinate with prenatal care teams, including midwives, doulas, and lactation consultants, to ensure integrated care approaches.
• Facilitate childbirth education and postpartum peer support groups, offering valuable resources and fostering community connections.
• Participate actively in community outreach efforts aimed at building wellness networks among individuals and families.
• Conduct regular clinical consultations and engage in multidisciplinary co-learning spaces to share insights and improve practice.
• Maintain detailed clinical documentation in compliance with organizational requirements and standards.
• Adhere to ethical and legal guidelines in all aspects of client interactions and practice management.

Your main focus will be on Black birthing families, recognizing the unique challenges and experiences they face. By understanding cultural contexts and systemic barriers, you will facilitate healing and support in a manner that empowers clients and fosters resilience. Your interventions will be sensitive to the socio-cultural factors impacting mental health during pregnancy and postpartum periods.

• A master's degree in behavioral sciences (such as social work, marriage and family therapy, or counseling) from an accredited institution.
• Active licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating an ability to connect with diverse populations and interdisciplinary teams.
• A proactive attitude towards seeking assistance and growing professionally.
• Experience with telehealth platforms and remote counseling is preferred.

• Previous experience providing mental health services to pregnant and postpartum individuals, particularly within culturally diverse communities.
• Familiarity with community resources and support networks tailored to birthing families.
• Effective skills in leading group therapy or educational sessions, demonstrating comfort in public speaking.
• A history of collaboration with healthcare providers and involved in care coordination.
