Job Title: Oracle GoldenGate (OGG) Data Replication Engineer
Location: Remote (U.S. - Any Location)
Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Oracle GoldenGate (OGG) Engineer to design, implement, and manage real-time data replication solutions. The ideal candidate will work on migrating legacy Oracle databases to PostgreSQL environments using Oracle GoldenGate while ensuring high availability, data consistency, and minimal latency.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain Oracle GoldenGate replication pipelines for real-time data movement.
  • Configure and support heterogeneous replication (Oracle → PostgreSQL).
  • Perform initial data loads and ongoing CDC (Change Data Capture) processes.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize GoldenGate processes (Extract, Replicat, Pump).
  • Ensure data integrity, performance tuning, and replication latency minimization.
  • Work closely with database, ETL, and application teams to support migration initiatives.
  • Handle schema transformations and mappings between Oracle and PostgreSQL.
  • Manage cutover strategies and migration execution with minimal downtime.
  • Maintain documentation for replication setup, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Implement backup, recovery, and failover strategies for replicated environments.

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 10+ years of database experience with strong expertise in Oracle Database.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle GoldenGate (OGG).
  • Proven experience with heterogeneous replication (Oracle to PostgreSQL preferred).
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Change Data Capture (CDC)
    • Data migration strategies
    • Transactional consistency
  • Hands-on experience in:
    • OGG Extract, Replicat, Pump configuration
