Job description

About Atria
Atria is a membership-based preventive health care practice delivering cutting-edge primary and specialty care in New York, South Florida, Los Angeles (2026), and through 24/7 telemedicine globally.
Our multi-specialty team of 60+ top in-house physicians provides proactive, preventive, and precision-based care for Atria members and their families. We aim to optimize lifespan and healthspan through meticulous screening, leading-edge therapeutics, and tailored interventions designed to prevent disease and detect it at the earliest possible stages.
Each member's care is led by a dedicated Chief Medical Officer who collaborates with specialists in cardiology, neurology, pediatrics, women's health, endocrinology, integrative health, performance and movement, nutrition, and more.
Through our nonprofit Atria Research Institute and Public Health Institute, we also work to accelerate the translation of medical breakthroughs and expand access to preventive care for as many people as possible.
Atria Health is seeking a Software Engineer (Product) to help design, build, and scale the systems that power our member and clinical experiences.
This is an individual contributor role focused on:
  • Building high-quality product features across our stack (web, mobile, backend)
  • Owning projects end to end, from design to launch and iteration
  • Partnering closely with Product, Design, and Clinical teams to ship measurable outcomes

You'll work with product managers and other engineers to shape how we build features, contribute to our architecture, and ensure that what we ship is reliable, observable, and grounded in data. From clean APIs and performant UIs to strong monitoring and analytics in Mixpanel, you'll care about both how we build and what we achieve.
Tech Stack
  • Languages: TypeScript
  • Backend: Node, Express
  • Frontend: React, Honeypot SDK
  • Infrastructure: Google Cloud Platform, Terraform
  • Database: MySQL
  • Tooling & Integrations: Github, Sentry, Okta, Mixpanel, Omni, third-party APIs
Key Responsibilities
Product & Delivery
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and clinicians to turn product requirements into clear technical plans.
  • Own end-to-end delivery of features and services: design, implementation, testing, rollout, and iteration.
Architecture & Systems
  • Design and implement APIs, data models, and integrations supporting your core domain (member journeys, clinical workflows, care coordination)
  • Contribute to evolving our architecture so teams can build new experiences quickly without re-inventing the wheel.
  • Build with reliability and performance in mind: help define graceful failure modes, timeouts, and efficient queries.
  • Participate in design reviews and RFCs, bringing a pragmatic, product-focused perspective.
Quality, Observability & Analytics
  • Write well-tested code with meaningful unit tests and integration tests,
  • Instrument features with high-quality analytics in Mixpanel, using consistent events and properties across products.
  • Help maintain dashboards and alerts that reflect real user outcomes
Teamwork, Mentorship & Culture
  • Contribute to and uphold engineering standards: coding conventions, design patterns, documentation practices.
  • Give thoughtful and constructive code reviews
Who You Are
Core Experience
  • ~4+ years of professional software engineering experience building product experiences in production environments.
  • Track record of owning and shipping features or projects in a modern web stack.
  • Experience collaborating closely with product and design on user-facing features.
  • Comfortable working in evolving domains and complex making tradeoffs.
Technical Skills
  • Strong full-stack skills: you can design an API and schema, implement backend logic, and build the UI that consumes it.
  • Proficiency with TypeScript and at least one modern frontend framework (ideally React).
  • Experience with at least one cloud provider and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform).
  • Solid instincts for systems design basics: reliability, performance, and security
  • Comfortable debugging across the stack: logs, traces, metrics, and data.
Behaviors
  • Take ownership of your work end to end and follow through on details.
  • Communicate clearly in writing and in meetings, tailored to your audience.
  • Comfortable working with clinicians, operations, and other non-technical partners.
  • Open to feedback and invested in helping the team continuously improve.
Nice to Have
  • Experience in healthcare, digital health, or other regulated domains (HIPAA, PHI, SOC 2, etc.).
  • Exposure to EHRs, Wearables Integrations, or other health data platforms
Reporting & Work Arrangement
This role reports to the VP of Engineering. This is a remote role with occasional travel to Atria locations.
Compensation
$125,000-$240,000 depending on location
Benefits
At Atria, we are proud to offer every member of the Atria team:
  • Excellent health and wellness benefits, 100% paid by Atria effective date of hire
  • OneMedical membership for employees & dependents giving access to 24/7 virtual care
  • Fertility & family planning
  • Company-covered preventive health screenings through partner hospitals (Calcium score)
  • Fitness Perks including Wellhub +
  • 401k contributions and 4% match starting after 6 months
  • Flexible Time Off
  • Continuing medical education (CME) and CEU support for professional licensure
  • Time to give back and make an impact in underserved communities
