• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to understand the specific mental health needs of clients and create personalized treatment plans.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and mindfulness practices, to facilitate therapy sessions for individuals, groups, and families.
• Collaborate with a network of professionals—including case managers and psychiatrists—to coordinate care efficiently and ensure client needs are met.
• Provide crisis intervention and stabilization support to individuals in acute distress, applying practical strategies to manage immediate challenges.
• Engage in community outreach initiatives to raise awareness of mental health issues and reduce stigma, promoting overall community wellness.

At Brighterlife Counseling Center, you will work with a diverse client population, including individuals from various cultural backgrounds, age groups, and socioeconomic statuses. Our center emphasizes cultural competence, ensuring that all clients receive care that respects their unique experiences and perspectives. You will be equipped to address a wide array of mental health issues, ranging from anxiety and depression to trauma and relationship challenges.

• A current and valid license in Maryland as a Licensed Certified Social Worker - Clinical (LCSW-C), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A master’s or doctoral degree in disciplines relevant to mental health, such as Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• Proficient communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport and establishing effective therapeutic relationships with clients.
• Demonstrated cultural competence and sensitivity, allowing for effective engagement with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Strong organizational abilities with the capability to maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions and treatment progress.

• Experience providing telehealth services is preferred, as this role involves delivering therapy primarily through virtual platforms.
• Familiarity with trauma-informed care practices and evidence-based therapy modalities.
• Previous experience in community mental health settings is advantageous, affording context to the challenges faced by the client population.
