Description

SAIC is seeking a Senior Power Platform Developer with an active Secret clearance to provide advanced technical solutions and strategic support for the Office of the Under Secretary of War for Research and Engineering (OUSW(R&E)). This role is centered on leveraging state-of-the-art technologies to drive process optimization, design and implement scalable knowledge management solutions, and enhance organizational efficiency.

The successful candidate will apply their technical expertise in Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps (Canvas and Model Driven), Power Automate, Power BI), Dataverse, and SharePoint to design and maintain custom workflows, custom applications, and enterprise-grade process automation solutions. Additional responsibilities include leading full-stack development efforts, configuring systems architecture, and utilizing programming languages such as Power FX, SQL, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and DAX to ensure seamless integration and tailored functionalities.

Additionally, this role entails delivering business process optimization strategies, implementing role-based access controls, environment security, and data loss prevention (DLP) policies. and innovative IT service delivery enhancements. End-User Support: Maintain existing solutions, troubleshoot defects, and create training documentation for end-users Develop and update meaningful business intelligence dashboards to inform decision-making. The individual will maintain close collaboration with stakeholders to modernize processes supporting digital transformation efforts.

Job Responsibilities:

Development and Maintenance of Automation Solutions

  • Leverage SharePoint, Dataverse, M365, Power Platform, and related technologies to develop, create, configure, and sustain advanced knowledge management and process automation solutions tailored to organizational goals.
  • Utilize Power FX, JavaScript, HTML/CSS for building and maintaining custom formulas and complex workflows within Power Platform, SharePoint, and Dataverse.

Custom Solution Design and Development

  • Architect, develop and implement enterprise-grade SharePoint sites, workflows, and solutions that align with stakeholder needs.
  • Develop end-to-end solutions with Power Platform to support high-volume, real-time processing scenarios.
  • Provide architecture design, system configuration, development, and functional support for Power Platform and Dynamics 365 projects.

Business Process Optimization

  • Conduct process evaluations to identify improvement opportunities across systems, providing tailored recommendations for short- and long-term process automation strategies.
  • Apply process improvement methodologies to optimize internal processes and elevate IT service delivery effectiveness within OUSW(R&E).

Integration and Data Management

  • Integrate existing technologies such as SharePoint, and the Power Platform to drive scalability and enhance organizational efficiency.
  • Use tools including Power BI to deliver insightful data visualizations, promoting more informed decision-making.
  • Migrate legacy data management tools to Dataverse to support large volumes of data.

Technical Expertise and Troubleshooting

Knowledge Sharing and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Facilitate training sessions and collaborative workshops to ensure effective IT solution adoption and knowledge transfer.
  • Actively collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and execute process modernization initiatives aligned with agency objectives.

Systems Administration and Continuous Improvement

  • Administer and ensure ongoing maintenance, scalability, and continuous improvement of knowledge management solutions to meet evolving agency needs.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree with at least 9 years of experience, master’s degree with at least 7 years, or PhD/JD with 4 or more years of experience.
  • Clearance: Active Secret clearance required; Ability to obtain a TS/SCI required to maintain employment.  US citizenship required.
  • IT Expertise: Minimum 2+ years of specialized experience in cloud application architecture, business process automation, data architecture, or data modeling.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of Dataverse, SQL, Power Fx, JavaScript, HTML/CSS and DAX. Preferred experience in Bootstrap, JavaScript, and Python.
  • Platform Proficiency: Proven expertise in Power Platform, SharePoint, Azure, SSIS, Power BI, Tableau, and InfoPath.
  • Core Competencies: Exceptional skills in process automation, knowledge management, and delivering integrated IT solutions across tools like SharePoint, M365, Dataverse, and Azure.
  • Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to analyze and enhance business processes, optimize performance, and deliver scalable IT solutions.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Government Experience: Demonstrated experience supporting DoD or other government agencies.
  • Communication Skills: Proven ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
