LHH is actively seeking a seasoned Contract Administrator for one of our top clients in Houston! This will be a contract to hire opportunity and will be hybrid to their office in Houston.
Contract Analyst (Land & Right-of-Way Agreements)
Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid)
Schedule: Onsite Monday-Wednesday | Remote Thursday-Friday
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Contract Analyst to manage the full lifecycle of land and right-of-way (ROW) agreements. This role is ideal for a contract professional who thrives in a true contract administration environment and enjoys owning processes from contract intake through execution and ongoing management.
The Contract Analyst will play a critical role in enhancing and scaling contract operations, partnering closely with Legal, IT, Land, and project teams to ensure agreements are processed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with established procedures. This position will also support the implementation and optimization of the organization's contract management system and related workflows.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the end-to-end contract administration process for land and right-of-way agreements
  • Oversee contract intake, review, redlining, approval routing, execution, and document storage
  • Lead and support implementation, adoption, and optimization of the contract management system (Icertis or similar platform)
  • Maintain contract records, version control, execution tracking, and reporting within the system
  • Coordinate contract redlines and support negotiations in collaboration with Legal and business stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain contract templates, playbooks, and standard operating procedures
  • Serve as a primary resource for contract process guidance across cross-functional teams
  • Partner with Legal, IT, Land, and business teams to improve workflows and drive system adoption
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and help establish scalable contract management practices
  • Ensure contracts are completed accurately, consistently, and within required timelines
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in contract administration, contract operations, legal operations, or a related field
  • Proven experience managing the full contract lifecycle from intake through execution
  • Experience implementing or supporting contract management processes and systems
  • Hands-on experience with contract lifecycle management (CLM) platforms or contract management systems (Icertis experience preferred)
  • Experience coordinating contract redlines and collaborating with legal teams and business stakeholders
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and documentation skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Right-of-Way (ROW) agreements, land administration, or real estate contracts
  • Background supporting infrastructure, energy, utilities, engineering, or construction-related projects
  • Experience in process improvement, workflow optimization, or business process analysis
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Paralegal Studies, Real Estate, or a related discipline preferred
  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered
Contract Details
  • Target Start Date: By the end of June
  • Duration: Through year-end, with a strong likelihood of extension and potential conversion to a permanent position in early next year
  • Interview Process: Fully virtual
  • Onboarding: Approximately one week following offer acceptance for onboarding and system access
Pay Details: $38.00 to $57.00 per hour
