Job description

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field and five years relevant experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience relevant to the role may be considered for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in Microsoft Power Platform and enterprise application development, including demonstrated expertise with canvas Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, SharePoint, SQL Server,. NET, ASP.NET, C#, VB, T-SQL, JavaScript, CSS, and Power Fx.

  • Experience designing, developing, implementing, and supporting scalable business applications; translating operational needs into technical solutions; automating manual workflows; integrating databases and enterprise systems; and maintaining application documentation, security, testing, and support processes.

  • Additional preference will be given to candidates with experience providing technical leadership, mentoring other developers or end users, supporting Power Platform governance and environment configuration, using Azure services and Azure DevOps, and modernizing legacy systems through Power Platform solutions.

  • Microsoft Power Platform certifications, Microsoft MVP recognition, and demonstrated contributions to the Power Platform community are also preferred.

Job Summary:

To provide the technical expertise required to support and advance application and system software functions of the computer installation at the decision-making level.

Job Duties:

Serves as the senior technical lead for application development, workflow automation, and digital transformation initiatives within UTMB Correctional Managed Care. Designs, develops, and supports enterprise business solutions that improve operational efficiency, data accessibility, reporting capabilities, and business processes across clinical, quality, and administrative functions.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining applications using Microsoft Power Platform technologies, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, and SharePoint; designing system integrations and custom software solutions utilizing SQL Server, .NET, C#, JavaScript, and related technologies; and translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership for application architecture, automation, governance, security, testing, and documentation standards.
  • Collaborates with operational leaders and end users to identify process improvement opportunities and supports business intelligence and reporting initiatives.
  • Troubleshoots complex technical issues.
  • Mentors technical staff.
  • Evaluates emerging technologies, including AI-enabled solutions, to enhance organizational performance and support strategic objectives.
