Job description

About the Role

The Post-Production Coordinator supports Scorpion's Studios team by managing the post-production workflow from the time footage is shot and shipped to the office through final video delivery to the internal team handling the client account. This role helps organize project information, coordinate editor assignments, communicate creative direction and deadlines, prepare contracts or project agreements, and keep videos moving through internal review, client review, revisions, final approval, and delivery.

This remote position is key to keeping the post-production process organized, calm, and efficient. The Post-Production Coordinator works closely with editors, producers, and internal teams to ensure every project has the assets, notes, schedule, and communication needed to be completed on time and at a high standard.

Internal candidates will receive priority consideration for this role. However, external applications are welcomed and will be reviewed if the position is not filled internally.

What Your Success Will Look Like
  • Manage the end-to-end post-production workflow, ensuring projects stay on schedule from editor assignment through final delivery.
  • Coordinate editors by communicating project expectations, creative direction, client goals, technical requirements, deadlines, and deliverables while ensuring they have all necessary footage, assets, references, and supporting materials to begin work.
  • Build and manage production schedules, assign editing work, balance workloads, and proactively remove bottlenecks to keep projects moving and deadlines on track.
  • Organize and maintain project documentation, assets, deadlines, and workflow updates, ensuring information in monday.com, Frame.io, and other project management systems remains accurate and up to date.
  • Create and manage editor contracts, project agreements, and assignment documentation as needed.
  • Monitor project progress, communicate updates, risks, blockers, and delivery timelines, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution.
  • Review deliverables for quality, formatting, technical specifications, and alignment with client briefs before final approval and delivery.
  • Deliver completed video assets on time while ensuring they meet client expectations and project requirements.
  • Maintain a professional, collaborative, and solution-oriented approach while successfully managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment using tools such as monday.com, Slack, Frame.io, and Google Drive.
Who You Are And What You Bring
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, Economics, Data Science, Communications, or a related field-or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience
    • 2+ years of experience as a Production Coordinator or 4+ years of experience in a fast-paced production environment (experience in a creative studio, agency, or video post-production environment).
  • Skills
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and moving pieces at the same time.
    • Calm, professional, and solution-oriented under pressure.
    • You possess a direct, professional, and clear communication style. You know how to hold team members accountable, firmly but collaboratively.
    • Friendly and collaborative demeanor when working with editors, internal teams, and other departments.
    • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
    • Experience using online workflow and communication systems such as monday.com, Slack, Frame.io, Google Drive, or similar platforms.
    • Understanding of the video production and post-production process.
    • Ability to communicate creative direction, timelines, and project requirements clearly to editors.
    • Strong follow-through and ability to identify potential scheduling or communication issues before they become blockers.
