• Conduct thorough, culturally sensitive mental health assessments to evaluate patients' individual needs and unique experiences, leading to tailored treatment plans.
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, incorporating patients' cultural backgrounds to promote effective treatment outcomes.
• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions aimed at enhancing mental wellbeing, resilience, and integration of therapeutic strategies.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated mental health care approach.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention support to patients facing mental health emergencies, utilizing sound judgment and effective communication.
• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and available community resources tailored to their unique situations.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in compliance with all legal and ethical standards governing mental health practice.
• Participate actively in team meetings, case consultations, and cultural competency training to enhance personal growth and the success of the practice.
• Stay updated on the latest research, best practices, and cultural considerations impacting mental health therapy.

Your role will primarily focus on serving patients from diverse backgrounds, including ethnic and cultural minorities, LGBTQ+ communities, and immigrant populations. This unique clientele will grant you the opportunity to employ culturally responsive techniques, ensuring that all patients receive the personalized care they deserve.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid license as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in Texas.
• In-depth knowledge of mental health disorders, a bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field, and evidence-based treatment methodologies.
• Demonstrated experience in providing individual and group therapy, with a focus on culturally responsive practices.
• Proficiency in crisis intervention and the ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven history of establishing rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant mental health software tools.
• A strong commitment to ethical practice, confidentiality, and professional boundaries.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team setting.

• Two or more years of experience in the mental health field, specifically in settings that emphasize cultural sensitivity.
• Experience working with diverse populations and understanding the socio-political factors affecting mental health.
• Demonstrated ability to implement innovative therapeutic techniques tailored to diverse client needs and contexts.
