Government Grants Specialist

Our client is a growing company specialising in healthcare software solutions, focused on driving innovation and efficiency across the healthcare sector. We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Government Grants Specialist to help secure funding opportunities that support their continued growth and product development.

This role is ideal for someone experienced in identifying, applying for, and securing government grants, particularly within the US and Canadian markets. You will be responsible for researching relevant funding opportunities, managing application processes end-to-end, and ensuring high-quality submissions that align with company objectives. You will be given guidance on the types of grants to pursue but will be expected to independently drive the process, including outreach, application preparation, and submission.

Research and identify relevant government grant opportunities in the US and Canada

Manage the full lifecycle of grant applications, from discovery to submission

Prepare, write, and submit high-quality grant proposals

Liaise with internal stakeholders to gather required information and documentation

Maintain accurate records of applications, deadlines, and outcomes

Track and report on grant pipeline and success rates

Ensure compliance with all grant requirements and guidelines

Use internal systems (including Xero and Pluto) to support tracking and reporting

  • Proven experience securing government grants (Canada and/or US)
  • Strong writing and proposal development skills
  • Excellent research and organizational abilities
  • High attention to detail (critical for success in this role)
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience in healthcare or healthcare software industry
  • Familiarity with financial or operational tools such as Xero and Pluto
