About the Role

  • Lead multiple client engagements across corporate, partnership, and high-net-worth individual tax work
  • Serve as the primary client relationship manager for key accounts in a fully remote environment
  • Oversee tax planning, compliance, and review processes while ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Collaborate with partners and staff to improve workflow efficiency and service delivery

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and sign off on complex tax returns (1120, 1120S, 1065, 1040 HNW)
  • Manage client deliverables, deadlines, and advisory communications year-round
  • Provide strategic tax planning, entity structuring, and transaction support
  • Supervise and mentor tax staff, seniors, and managers across multiple engagements

Qualifications

  • Active CPA license required
  • 7–12+ years of progressive tax experience in public accounting
  • Strong experience with review-level work and client-facing advisory roles
  • Deep knowledge of federal and state tax compliance across multiple entity types

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with remote team leadership and workflow management tools (e.g., CCH, ProSystem, UltraTax, or similar)
  • Strong client communication skills with ability to explain complex tax issues simply
  • Experience with high-growth clients, private equity-backed companies, or HNW individuals
