To excel as a Remote Physical Therapy Insurance Specialist, you need a solid understanding of medical billing, insurance coding (such as CPT and ICD-10), and knowledge of physical therapy procedures, often supported by a relevant certification or experience in healthcare administration. Proficiency with billing software, electronic health records (EHR) systems, and insurance portals is typically required.
