Job Title: Founding Frontend Engineer (Mobile, Social)
Location: Remote

Position Overview:
We've spent two years building Flocker's strategy, design, and systems, and we're now looking for one more builder to help complete our final pre-launch phase and ship a public iOS/Android app in the next 4 - 6 months.
We're seeking a highly skilled and motivated Founding Frontend Engineer with expertise in consumer social apps. You'll join a small, collaborative team with experience from Google, YouTube, Meta, and Microsoft Research, bringing together excellence in design, science, and engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain high-quality mobile iOS/Android applications using JavaScript-based cross-platform frameworks
  • Build in-app photo filters and video editing capabilities
  • Translate designs into production code with precision and attention to interaction details
  • Collaborate with backend and AI engineers for seamless integration with server-side logic
  • Engage in the full software development lifecycle: design, coding, testing, deployment
  • Work in a fast-moving, agile startup environment, iterating quickly and adjusting priorities based on learning and feedback

Requirements
You're Right For This If:
  • 5+ years shipping beautiful mobile apps
  • Experience building consumer social apps.
  • Expert in JavaScript-based mobile development (React Native, Ionic/Capacitor, or similar)
  • Proven ability to build and launch products (startup, side project, or even a failed venture)
  • Track record of shipped apps we can download right now
  • Leadership ability, self-motivation, and comfort navigating ambiguity
  • Ready to work founder hours for significant equity, and you understand salary comes later (post-funding).
  • Bonus: if you have experience building media features (photo filters, video editing, or similar)
