About the Role
If you love building big-picture client partnerships and making complex global programs run smoothly, this role is made for you. You'll lead strategic relationships for BCD Meetings & Events while supporting Life Sciences clients in a fast-paced, highly regulated meetings and congress environment. From program evolution and stakeholder engagement to financial performance and operational consistency, you'll help shape what great looks like on a global scale. It's a high-impact role for someone who's equal parts strategist, consultant, and relationship builder.
You're Good At
  • Leading global client relationships and turning business goals into smart, scalable meeting and congress strategies.
  • Thriving in a highly regulated, detail-oriented Life Sciences environment where compliance, consistency, and quality matter every day.
  • Managing budgets, forecasts, pricing, and profitability while keeping both client expectations and business goals in focus.
  • Using data, insights, and strong storytelling to influence stakeholders, guide decisions, and drive program improvements.
  • Partnering across teams, markets, and functions to keep operations aligned, solve problems creatively, and deliver a great client experience.

You Should Have
  • Experience supporting pharmaceutical meetings, congress programs, or other Life Sciences event environments.
  • A strong background in global account management, strategic planning, and large-scale client program leadership.
  • Confidence presenting to senior stakeholders and leading strategic reviews, workshops, and expansion conversations.
  • Knowledge of meeting technology, operational forecasting, and best practices for global program delivery.
  • Congress-specific strategy experience.

You Should Know
  • Ideal candidate will be Hybrid from our HQ in Chicago, but this role will also consider remote candidates located in the Central or Eastern time zones.

Travel requirements for this role are as follows:Less than 25%
We carefully consider a wide range of compensation factors, including your professional background and experience. The salary range for candidates in applicable jurisdictions in the US for the position of Global Account Director, Pharmaceutical Meetings & Congresses is between $95,000 - $130,000. The actual pay depends on your skills, qualifications, experience, geographical location, and project budget.
