Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:

Rigel Pharmaceuticals, a pioneering biopharma company based in South San Francisco, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Forecasting to join the Commercial Analytics team, part of Business Operations. The role offers the opportunity to contribute directly to Rigels commercial success and to grow with the company as we continue our growth trajectory.

The Director of Forecasting will support the Commercial team in making efforts to understand the current market trends and growth trajectories of licensed products. This position entails quarterly estimates, long term projections and supporting our CMC department on the supply chain.

Salary Range: $215,000 to $260,000

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Forecast updates including 5-year projections and quarterly estimates across all marketed products
  • CMC updates quarterly
  • Partnering with research to include any relevant market updates on addressable populations/opportunity
  • Aligning with the leadership team on sales goals
  • Board updates quarterly

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelors degree with 10+ years or Masters degree/PhD
  • Required: Experience within pharma/biotech/health care industries and/or related industries
  • Preferred; Possess deep understanding of life sciences commercial data, including SP/SD data,

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience with forecasting in biotech/pharma markets
  • Possess strong critical thinking, intellectual curiosity, problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Solid project management and decision-making skills
  • Excellent PowerPoint and excel skills
  • Solid organizational, project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects at a time.
  • Proven success in managing and partnering with peers, internal stakeholders and external vendors.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

The anticipated salary range for this position is Premium (SFBA/NY/Boston Area) $215,000 to $260,000. The actual salary offered will depend on several factors, including experience, qualifications, geographic location, internal equity, and business needs.

This position is eligible to participate in Rigel's annual bonus program and is eligible for equity incentive awards, subject to the terms of the applicable plans. This position is not commission-based.
