Job Duties and Qualifications

Duties:                                                             
Responsibilities include: Supervise and manage the safe, efficient execution of directional drilling operations for multiple rigs from a Remote Operations Center (ROC) in support of Exxon operations in Guyana. Leverage expertise in drilling horizontal, slant, deviated wells, re-entries, multilaterals, vertical control, and sidetracking to provide remote oversight. Monitor and ensure the operational readiness of remote directional drilling systems, including MWD/LWD tools and Rotary Steerable Tools. Collaborate with rig-site customer representatives and drilling crews through advanced communication systems to coordinate and optimize operations. Provide real-time advice and decision support for drilling operations, including executing plans, troubleshooting, re-planning, and conducting remote wellsite analysis. Conduct post-drilling evaluations to identify lessons learned and apply them to optimize future operations. Ensure safety and well being of all personnel on remote rig platform. Monitor tripping in hole and pull out of hole practices. Be trusted advisor to company on all directional drilling related operations. 
Requirements: Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Drilling Engineering, Well Construction, Electrical Engineering, Geology and Earth Sciences, Mining Sciences, or a related field, and 5 years of experience in the job offered or in a Field Professional - Directional Drilling (Field Prof-DD, Genl)-related occupation. 

Position requires experience in the following:
1. Experience with Directional Drilling, Measurement While Drilling (MWD), Logging While Drilling (LWD), and Remote Operations to plan, execute, and monitor complex directional well paths, ensuring accurate wellbore placement within the designated reservoir. 
2. Experience with Rotary Steerable Systems (RSS) to maintain continuous rotation of the drill string while steering the wellbore, enabling improved borehole quality and higher rate of penetration. 
3. Experience with Automation and Remote Rig Control Systems to operate drilling systems remotely, utilizing digital platforms and automated sequences to manage rig floor operations and downhole tool control. 
4. Experience in Deepwater Directional Drilling Operations and Floating Rig Operations to execute offshore drilling programs under complex and high-risk environments.  
5. Experience with GeoSteering Operations to monitor and guide wellbore placement in real time using formation evaluation data, gamma ray, resistivity, and other LWD tools.
