Job description

Equivity is seeking an experienced virtual paralegal to support attorneys handling personal injury matters, including auto accidents, premises liability, medical malpractice, wrongful death, and workers' compensation. This is an opportunity to join a collaborative, remote team where your expertise is valued and your efforts provide vital support to clients when they need it most.
What You'll Do
  • Draft demand letters, pleadings, motions, and affidavits.
  • Manage and organize personal injury case files from intake through trial or settlement.
  • Collect, review, and summarize medical records.
  • Summarize deposition testimony and discovery responses.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, insurance adjusters, opposing counsel, and court staff.
  • Assist attorneys with mediation, settlement, and trial preparation, including exhibits and witness coordination.
  • Provide direct trial support, including managing exhibits, organizing witness files, and ensuring attorneys have needed materials.
  • Schedule appointments, manage calendars, and provide general case support.
  • Collaborate effectively with attorneys and fellow team members.
  • Maintain proactive and professional communication with clients during business hours (9 AM - 6 PM).

About You
  • At least 3 years of recent experience as a personal injury paralegal.
  • Experience with workers' compensation matters is a plus.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, legal research tools, and cloud-based platforms.
  • Experience with personal injury software such as FileVine or SmartAdvocate strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Clio or other legal CRMs is a big plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple deadlines independently.
  • Comfortable using video conferencing and working remotely.
  • Reliable Windows-based laptop, smartphone, and broadband internet.
