Location: Tampa, FL
Salary: $50,000-65,000
Position Type: Full-Time, In-Office (Hybrid after 90 days)

The Opportunity

A boutique personal injury firm that has been a staple of the Tampa Bay community for over 25 years is seeking an experienced Pre-Litigation Case Manager

Led by a Board Certified Civil Trial Expert, the firm is known for its "strategically aggressive and genuinely compassionate" approach to litigation.

The Role

You will manage personal injury claims from the initial intake through the demand phase. This is a high-visibility role requiring a mix of investigative skills, medical record management, and empathetic client communication.

Key Responsibilities
  • Case Management: Handle a diverse caseload of motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, and catastrophic injury claims from inception to demand.

  • Client Advocacy: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring they are updated on their medical treatment progress and the status of their insurance claims.

  • Medical & Billing: Request, track, and organize medical records and bills; identify and resolve potential lien issues (Medicare, Medicaid, and private health).

  • Evidence Gathering: Obtain police reports, dashcam footage, witness statements, and insurance disclosures (affidavits of coverage).

  • Demand Packages: Draft comprehensive, persuasive settlement demand packages for attorney review.

  • Insurance Coordination: Set up claims with carriers, handle property damage disputes, and manage PIP/Med-Pay benefits.

Candidate Requirements
  • Experience: 2+ years of Pre-Suit Paralegal/Case Management experience specifically within Florida Personal Injury law.

  • Language: Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a significant plus given the firm's diverse client base in Tampa.

  • Education: Paralegal Certificate or degree preferred, but equivalent hands-on experience is prioritized.

  • Tech Savvy: Proficiency in case management software (e.g., Filevine, CloudLex, or similar) and Microsoft Office. Experience with AI preferred.

  • Local Expertise: Familiarity with Tampa-area medical providers and Florida's specific insurance statutes (PIP, etc.).

Benefits

  • Health, dental, vision insurance
  • Retirement plan
  • PTO plan
