Position Purpose

The Senior Manager, US Livestock - Pricing Strategy & Deal Desk will build and scale pricing strategy capabilities and support a centralized deal desk for the entire US Livestock businesses. This leader will blend strategic planning with hands-on deal support, change management, talent upskilling, and cross-functional relationships to unlock strategic opportunities for the businesses. The ideal candidate combines strategic acumen with analytical rigor and is fluent in SQL or Python to drive transparent, data-led decision-making.

Job Description

Strategy & Roadmap

  • Create and refine portfolio and brand-level pricing strategies aligned to product lifecycle, portfolio roles, customer segments, and channel economics.
  • Translate strategy into playbooks and KPIs; iterate based on market dynamics, competitive moves, and performance signals.
  • Advise senior leadership on pricing opportunities, risks, and trade-offs; align initiatives with broader business objectives.

Deal Desk & Commercial Enablement

  • Help innovate a centralized Deal Desk capability to drive disciplined, data-informed deal structuring and approvals, ensuring alignment with value narrative and deal model scoring as we look to move from manual processes to more robust tools stack and CPQ.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and Operations to resolve trade-offs and accelerate decisions on non-standard deals.
  • Guide promotional strategy and analytics; align activities with gross-to-net economics; ensure robust measurement and continuous improvement.

Analytics, Insights & Technical Enablement

  • Lead rigorous pricing and deal analytics; validate recommendations with transparent, reproducible analysis using SQL and/or Python.
  • Build self-serve dashboards and standard models as needed for scenario analysis, promotion effectiveness, and price realization.
  • Review and validate analyses and recommendations; ensure data-driven decision-making and business impact to help senior leaders track changes in the businesses.

Change Management & Capability Building

  • Codify best practices, processes, and playbooks; drive cross-functional adoption of pricing and deal desk ways-of-working.
  • Upskill analyst level talent on pricing fundamentals, negotiations, data, storytelling, pricing strategy, guardrails, and analytics literacy.
  • Lead change management that balances speed, compliance, and field enablement.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Recruit, coach, and develop a high-performing team (e.g., pricing strategy analysts/deal desk analysts) with clear objectives, growth paths, and feedback loops.
  • Set a high-performance culture centered on customer focus, analytical rigor, and cross-functional collaboration.

Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the connective tissue across Sales, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and Customer Operations, model clear, concise communication, and influence without authority.
  • Manage escalations and resolve trade-offs with speed and transparency.

Qualifications (i.e., preferred education, experience, attributes)

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Analytics, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • CPP (Certified Pricing Professional) preferred.
  • 10+ years in pricing strategy, commercial analytics, deal desk, consulting, or commercial operations with proven leadership at the manager/senior manager/associate director level.
  • Experience in animal health, human pharma, or other life sciences industries preferred; livestock/agribusiness exposure is a plus.
  • Formal project management or process improvement experience

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in SQL or Python (minimum requirement); ability to independently query/ transform data and build analytical models.
  • Experience with Icertis (contract lifecycle) and CPQ platforms preferred.
  • Strong financial acumen and familiarity with GTN economics, price waterfalls, and promo effectiveness measurement.
  • Advanced Excel, proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, and familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Power BI / Tableau).

  • Reports to: Director, Pricing Strategy - US Livestock
  • Partners: Leadership, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Legal, IT, Distribution, Customer Operations, and external vendors as needed.

Location & Workstyle

  • Office based position preferred with Hybrid 2-3 days / week.
  • Parsippany preferred
  • Travel as needed for stakeholder engagement and field partnership (estimated 10%).
  • Open to Remote.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $129,000 - 200,000. Our salary ranges are

determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the base pay target range

for new hire salaries for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional

factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
