Position Overview

Empathetic Insight Psychological Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team in a full-time remote capacity. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting individuals and families as they navigate mental health challenges. You will create a trusting environment where clients can freely explore their emotions, develop self-awareness, and build healthier relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and diagnoses for a variety of mental health disorders, including anxiety, depression, and relational challenges.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's unique needs and life circumstances.
  • Engage in regular counseling sessions with clients, utilizing effective therapeutic techniques to facilitate their personal growth and recovery.
  • Monitor and evaluate client progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to enhance outcomes.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of sessions, adhering to ethical standards and clinical guidelines.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development sessions to stay current with evidence-based practices and emerging trends in therapy.
  • Collaborate with other mental health professionals and specialists to provide comprehensive care for clients who require additional support.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In your role as an LMFT, you will work with a diverse array of clients, including individuals, couples, and families dealing with various psychological and relational difficulties. Your expertise will be particularly valuable in addressing issues such as communication problems, emotional struggles, and life transitions. You will have the opportunity to empower clients by helping them to recognize their strengths and fostering resilience as they tackle personal and interpersonal challenges.

Qualifications
  • A valid and active license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California.
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or related field.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic practices and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with the complexities of addiction counseling and treatment for co-occurring disorders.
  • Strong interpersonal and counseling skills, with a proven ability to engage and motivate clients throughout their therapy journeys.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working in teletherapy or remote counseling to effectively support clients in a digital environment.
  • Prior background in community mental health settings or non-profit organizations is a plus.
  • Additional certifications in specialized therapeutic methodologies may enhance your application.
Compensation and Benefits
